Paolo Conte is the most charismatic Italian singer and songwriter, and he has a strong jazz influence
Born in the Piamonte town of Asti, Conte started his career playing vibraphone while he was working as a lawyer. His songs started to become popular in other singers voices. Adriano Celentano, for instance, made “Azzurro” popular, and Patty Bravo got a big success with “Tripoli ´69”.
We had to wait until the seventies to be able to listen to his songs delivered by his smoky voice, getting his inspiration from books, movies and jazz. His fame consolidated with the albums “Un gelato al limone” (1979) and “Aguaplano” (1987)

Guillem Roma (Manlleu, 1984) debuted with “Secret Place” (2007) before travelling to Cuba and Mexico. Back to Catalonia, his experiences are displayed in “Oxitocina” (2012) and “Nòmades” (2014), two albums that confirm him as an eclectic and cosmopolitan singer and songwriter who adapts in his pop songs elements from the Balkan fanfares as well as mariachi sounds, always accompanied by a flexible Camping Band Orchestra that will play in Pedralbes in a trio format.
